In a world of white FWD hatchbacks and compact-MPVs, one man dared to go shopping in his pride and joy. His Escort RS2000. This man is a petrolhead, and we must salute him.

I think all Jalops do this, our brains do this analysis of traffic and car parks automatically. Prius, Prius, not a bad AMG, ohhh GTV6.. so on.

This one is very very similar to the one a guy who owns a workshop a few doors down owns.
He brings it down to the workshop from time to time and you know when he does from streets away and you know when he's going home, the thing sounds like a major geological event happening but he loves driving it about.

This is no ordinary person in an ordinary car. This is an Enterprise rental car and as we know, rental cars are the fastest cars, even though this one is only a petrol 1.4.

Very cool! His is a Mk.1, whereas this yellow one is a Mk.2. Both are very popular at rally events. It's like a British BRZ!

Agreed. Non petrolheads may not do that, but odd cars still grab their attention, even if it's more of a "ooh, what is that?" moment. A few days back, there was a Mercedes Benz 280 SL on the campus parking lot, plopped in the middle of a sea of silver economy hatchbacks, and people who had no idea what it was still took a quick glance at it.

GM needs to bring these here to the states. I don't hate the Sonic, but this should replace it outright.

The Sonic? This isn't anything like a Sonic. This a Ford Focus rival.
Vauxhall's Sonic is probably the Agila.

Yeah I guess you're right. I guess the Cruze is the Focus equivelant? Either way, they need to bring the new Astra over.

best part of having to grab shopping carts outside at my job! I love seeing the odd cars that pull in!
Just look under the "Spotted at work" tag!
